Unlike the usual weekend, this time I traveled 130km to the south leaving Jakarta for Bandung.
The purpose is actually having a family gathering since August is filled with the birthday of granny, uncle and my cousin. A very eventful month indeed for my family.
We left Jakarta around 8 am in the morning, and it took us appx. 3.5 hours drive to reach Bandung. I didn’t see any reasonable major accidents during my drive, apart from a few trailers broke down at the road side (mostly tire problems), overloaded trailers at the inclination of Cipularang driving uber slow. Yeh, Cipularang is famous for its challenging hilly road for trucking mates. But, what I hate the most was those cars who slow-down to see the broke-down trailers which definitely pointless unless they want to help the truck drivers out.
Ok, skip those story and continue to one of the happening place in Bandung. It is One Eighty Coffee. My sis told us about this new coffee shop which owns a pool inside the cafe. How cool is that?
We decided to swing by regardless of traffic madness in Bandung today. Having located in Jalan Ganesha no. 3 was very easy to spot and as expected, full-house and people were actually set themselves in the wait-list to experience the pool.
I am not surprised if One Eighty Coffee and Music becomes one of the most popular cafe in Bandung nowadays as they offer different dining experience in the pool.
If you fancy for the pool, just put off your kicks and jump in the pool SLOWLY. NO DIVE PLEASE.
I believe One Eighty Coffee‘s interior on the first floor is exquisite. All the activities are taken place in the bar which locates in the center, all the foods come from the kitchen which you can spot by the pool side. The view from end-to-end is aesthetically pleasing to my eyes.
As for my order, I always inquire what beans they have on the bar. The waitress said St. Isabelle, Sunda Gulali, and Aceh Gayo beans. I picked Sunda Gulali and St. Isabelle as I’ve never heard once.
In the next 5mins, the waitress came back to tell the beans were out of stock, a bad signal for me, then I went for Aceh.
While waiting, I like to walk around exploring the place. As I told you, it is huge and good-looking.
Been on the first story for about 15mins, my coffee was yet to come. Quite upset already because of the long serving time.
The acidity was medium to high, got a brown-sugar note, body was medium to light. The after-taste lingered a bit. Did i get it wrong?
This outdoor area on the 2nd story is so pretty. Grey wall and the wooden blocks, Im in love
and also this diagonal path we made for a fun play. As I saw nobody did approach this area except us, you can TAG me on Instagram if you do this like me. Haha. I am bitch for this kind of thing, yes?
Spotted also another free space at the 3rd story. Full of window and you grade it yourself from 1 to 10.
Last but not least, find in which spot I sat on below photo. HAHA!
Well, to sum up, I am in love with the interior, every details are beautiful, enjoyable place for hang out too! But, the long serving time and (i think) the coffee could have been taste better to my personal palate. I haven’t really dug into their foods, perhaps later, but surely will come back for another visit here. Let me know what you think about One Eighty Coffee (click here for the details)
